FWIW, I belonged to numerous Yahoo Groups which migrated to groups.io
last year or earlier. I don't think any of them used the premium option,
and none of them seem to have had any problems with the limitations of
the free option.
Yahoo groups deleted all group archives late last year, so there is
nothing left at Yahoo to migrate from this group.
They did offer all users the opportunity to be sent an archive of
everything available in all groups to which they belonged. I requested
this and still have it. However, the only content I received for this
group is a 17MB zip file of messages.
If the group owner or moderator would like to have this file, I will
email it ONLY to them on request.
I am greatly disgusted with Yahoo for their treatment of millions of
Yahoo groups participants. :-(
