Thanks all for your reactions.=20

=20

Yes, it's right, there is no real problem.=20

I only wanted to have whole my archive unified.=20

(And of course, also to know there is no fake.)=20

Speaking about not many discs (single percents=20

out of several thousands) but still too many to=20

solve it "manually" (or better said - individually).=20=20

=20

That's why I hoped for some sw.=20

When you look into for example Accuraterip,=20

there are so many informations! Start of the track,=20

numer od sectors, end of the track, start of next.=20=20

All these my discs (ripped about 20 years ago)=20

are there, in exactly those presses.=20

=20

If only event. non-zero content of track1 pregap=20

(which really will be rare) would be lost, it's good=20

enough for me.=20

But how? Re-burning isn't eligible, I would rather=20

buy the disc again. Or find online (I tried, did find=20

some of them, but unfortunately this mostly=20

results in tracks+cue again.)=20=20

=20=20

The EAC default is to "append gaps to previous track", so the only gap
contents that might be lost would be any information "hidden" in the gap
BEFORE track 1. Some CDs have such information but it is non-standard as CD
players are not required to read before track 1. Some cannot. EAC can be se=
t
to attach the gaps to the following track instead, which would usually leav=
e
a few seconds of silence at the start of each track, and might -- depending
on your particular drive -- save the gap info before track 1. Again, non
standard and there are very few CDs that have audio data in that beginning
gap.

=20

Unless you set EAC to "leave out gaps", each track of your rip should have
the gap contents at the end of the track. The only information lost is not
what's IN the gap, but how long it is.. If you would be content to
reconstruct the CD from the tracks you can write them to disc with no
additional silence between them, and the result should be exactly as long a=
s
the original CD (apart from any audio "hidden" in the very first gap before
track 1).

=20

I understand the situation, and I don't see the problem. Why do you need to
know how long each gap was, since you have its contents anyway?

Let me know if you solve this problem, but I think it's nearly=20
impossible to solve. I have some discs ripped decades ago to individual=20
tracks that I'd like to "convert" into an accurate single disc image.=20
The problem is that ripping to individual tracks throws away any=20
pre-track gaps. They are lost forever. If all of the pre-track gaps on a=20
disc are just pure silence it may be possible to reconstruct the disc=20
image, but so far I have been unsuccessful in doing so. I've even tried=20
manually finding the exact pressing that my tracks were ripped from and=20
using the TOC data to reconstruct pre-track gaps.
