ecawave development stopped

Ecawave will no longer be actively developed. The Linux audio application
scene has changed drastically since January of 2000 when the first version
of ecawave was released. Nowadays there are many FOSS (free and open
source software) audio file editors available for you to choose from. As
replacements to ecawave I recommend:

- Audacity
- GLAME
- GNUsound
- Sweep
- ... check the list at:

My thanks to all who have participated in ecawave 
development!

PS I will still probably release a few maintenance releases to 
   keep ecawave working with the latest released ecasound. 
   So if for some odd reason you still want to use ecawave,
   you will still be able to do so. ;)
