Hello Lars!
   In case your question wasn't answered: you may use negative as well as 
positive values for Ecasound controllers (-k options). You can choose every 
value, taht is accepted by the parameter you want to change. If it is volume 
in decibel both negative and positive numbers are allright. If it is a balance 
it usually between 0 and 1 or 0 and 100 (percent).
