Is there away to indicate time with beats instead of
seconds? Its very awkward to loop a section and record layers over the top.

to work out seconds from beats?

Is there away to make this into a function in ecasound?

In csound for example when the prefix 't' for tempo is used in the score an
integer integrates a quarter note ?
