exs only works as playback on new iMac

Message posted by juan maclean <[email protected]>: I brought home a new iMac 20" today, and had Logic 7.0 running fine pretty quickly. The iMac is of course an Intel based one. The only problem i am having is that i can no longer make new sampler instruments in teh EXS24 using REX files. In the 'edit' menu, under 'instrument,' the sub menu 'Recycle Convert' is grayed out. Any ideas?
