Even simpler, Dennis - I just mean that you could make the decay and  
sustain portions of the regular amp envelope short enough that  
freezing the envelope (which is basically what cc64 does) has no  
effect. It's still responding to cc64 messages, but it's not doing  
anything different than it would have done anyway.

Sorry if I'm not thinking clearly about what cc64 actually does, but  
I think you get the idea. (cc64 is one of those things that just  
happens without any additional programming, so I've never had to stop  
and think about it.)
