It would indeed kick *ss if I did this kind of thing often. But with the current exchange rate, $290 for Keymap alone just isn't worth it to me. In the end, I got very good at clicking all those little checkboxes. The new layout of the editor in Logic 8 is nice. I was hoping I had overlooked something even nicer.
