LFE signal disappearing in 5:1 surround

For some strange reason since upgrading to 8, the LFE on Output 6  
seems to have disappeared on one of my current projects.

I have checked the audio assignments, which seem to be the same as on  
correctly "working" projects, yet still I do not hear or see the  
signal on output 6 LFE.

Any suggestions welcome.
