Timer or Midi Output inactive in logic 5.5

Help Please. I`ve a Imac whith windowx XP but can`t use 
it properly. When I`m working, suddenly cames a message: Timer or 
Midi-output inactive check other applications using time or midi or 
run setup again. After that logic don`t respond anymore.
Anybody knows what that can be?
I`m using Logic 5.5 and have a firewire 410
Please Help me
