LP 8 has quite a few improvements to the exs24 editor, making it a lot more user friendly. If all you want pro for is creating/editing exs24 instruments then it may be worth looking at 'keymap' (www.redmatica.com) which is a stand alone exs24 editor (and more) it really kicks the ass of the built in editor.
