With logic express (at least 7, don't know about 8), you can't create exs24 sample sets. 7 or 8 
pro allow you to do this (in fact any version of pro/plat/gold that has exs24.) LP 8 has quite a 
few improvements to the exs24 editor, making it a lot more user friendly. If all you want pro 
for is creating/editing exs24 instruments then it may be worth looking at 'keymap' 
(www.redmatica.com) which is a stand alone exs24 editor (and more) it really kicks the ass of 
the built in editor.
