New Mac Owner

I just received my Mac G5 2.3 yesterday. I have only used Macs in other studios where using Logic was all there was to it. Now I have to work out everything, are there any good sites for picking up advices.
Oh and another thing, what do you guys use for burning DVD/CD for backup. Is there a program that I need or is it all in Tiger.
