I need an automated method of changing file names, deleting the .aiff from 1000's of files

I have many drum samples. They all have the .aiff name on the end of each file. I need to delete the '.aiff' from multiple files at a time. At the moment I am double clicking on each file name in a finder window and manually deleting the appendage .aiff. It takes ages. Is there a better way. I'm on a G5 OSX10.3.9. Thanks, Roman Pirie. ________________________________________________________________________ Logic OT - new web forums! http://logic-users.org/forums/L-OT - Search the entire archive: http://logic-users.org/forums/L-OT/search - To UNSUBSCRIBE: email [email protected] Yahoo!
