I have my Z8. I have only just received it and I haven't plugged it in with audio etc. I have powered it on and played around. The data entry dial doesn't work properly. If I try to change a parameter it doesn't change unless I move the dial very slowly and even then the number goes in the wrong direction as much as it goes in the right direction. So I may turn the dial ten times and still only have moved a few decimal places or one number. Has anyone else had this? Can it be fixed. I bought this sampler because my Akai CD3000XL wasn't playing samples right to the end and leaving a little bit off. No one on the akai mailing list could figure it out so I spent a few months drinking to forget my frustration and working to by a new sampler albeit an upgrade. Now I get it and the friggin dial doesn't work. Please lord why do I deserve this? How do I call Akai about this? I know other Akai Z8 owners can't be experiencing this because I already asked if there were any problems with the Z8 and people assured me no. I can get the parameter to where I want it but not without 20 times the effort than if it was working.
