Message posted by Vince Fanelli <[email protected]>: I use Logic 4.8 in OS9.2 and Garage Band 3 in OSX Tiger. I use a Behringer BCF 2000 (which is a midi controller with faders and pan pots) to control every aspect of Logic from mixers to software synths with all their parameters. I want to use it in Garage Band but I can only control the volume and pan pots of the currently accessed track with an external controller.I want to control all the tracks as I do in Logic I understand that there is a difference in the architecture between GB and Logic. However Keith Gemmell in a manual titled Garage Band Tips and Tricks names a controller made by M-Audio called iControl which was designed specifically for GB that will do exactly what I want. Knowing this if someone could provide me with GB CC numbers I could program the controller. I certainly don't want to have to spring for another controller. I went to Behringer's website but there was nothing available for GB althoughI haven't contacted Behringer directly ( they have always been most accesable and helpful in the past with product support) This is my first posting and I hope I have explained what I wish to accomplish. If anyone can offer me the info I would be extremely greatful. This may be helpful to someone. I have a G4 Tower and an external Firewire 400GB . They do generate enough noise to affect audio tracks so I keep them in a closed sectiion of my workstation which cuts the noise to practically nil. However the External HD in particular generates some heat, Not wishing to add a fan to the enclosure and raise the noise level I keep two ice chest type freezer packs and put one (wrapped in a towel to prevent moisture) in the enclosure whenever I'm recording.
