            hello



i am very new to mac world i used for years logic on atari and win

but have been thinking to move to mac in order to run the latest logic.



first of all .. is it worthed ?

Is it a huge improvement over 5.5 ?

is there any soundiver editing capability

for synths in the new logic ?



and also what is a usable HW platform to run the latest logic on ?

2g ram or 4 gb ? mac mini ? imac ? mac pro ?



i dont use many vst but i would hate to spend 2000 euros or more

and have a non working/slow system

    Yes, I would suggest going to someones studio who has it so you can see.
Also if you are in the NY area you can visit a apple pro dealer and have them demo Logic Studio Like B&H or even a studio with a pro consultant.
Apple Store also has tests they can run to show you performance and the integration between the apple computer and apple logic studio.

Becareful with apple store people cause they are very similar to guitar center employees most of them seem to know very little in regards to practical applications and usage of the solutions they sell. They know what the reps and managers tell them to say. Apple is even worse because they seem not to employ logic professionals in the stores more pros and reps geared toward iphoto and consumer applications.

NO offense to apple employee's but I have never once had anyone at an apple store be of assistance in regards to Logic.
