Tritone Pluggo Runtime

I fancy giving the free 'Tri-Tone Digital' plug-ins a try, but they reqire
the installation of 'Pluggo Runtime extensions'. Has anyone got the faintest
idea what this means and what impact it may or may not have on my system?
Just got the Mac so a bit nervous of loading on 'unknown elements'! MacPro /
8core / OsX 10.5.4 / Logic8.
