Message posted by Donovan Rundle <[email protected]>: I've been so happy with Italian Grand up until now. I'm recording a jazz piece and the comping in the octave below middle C sounds murky. It's mostly open 4ths, 3 note chords, so the harmony is stripped down already. I'm hoping some of you will share with me particulars of your Italian Grand preset choices. I need more clarity in that mid-range when the dynamic is fairly soft. I can get it with Logic effects, but this introduces an impossible amount of latency and gobbles up even more RAM. I want to get close to a clear sound right within Ivory, which is why I'm off-topic I guess. There are obviously tons of controls for Italian Grand. I've been using the Impressionist preset with a touch of editing, but suddenly it's not cutting it with the comping. Any hints or tips on how to proceed? Meanwhile, I'll be hunkered down with the manual instead of tracking. Just can't get a sound right now... Thanks, d. ------------------------------------ ________________________________________________________________________ Logic OT - new web forums! http://logic-users.org/forums/L-OT - Search the entire archive: http://logic-users.org/forums/L-OT/search - To UNSUBSCRIBE: email logic-ot-unsubscribe-hHKSG33Tihh4sT85+ipIM4ckdKdSAMto@public.gmane.org!
