[LUG] [OT] Best way to Copyright your work????

I am about to submit a song somewhere, and I want to protect it before I get a chance to actually copyright it. Also, I'm told it's better to copyright a group of songs, or an album, because its cheaper. So until I have enough songs to complete an album, I also want to protect each song I submit.

Any suggestions on the best way to do this?
