Logic 8/HD 192

We've held off the upgrade from Logic 7.2 to 8 for a while in order to give
Logic 8 the time to "settle in".  However, it now seems that we need to move
up to Logic 8 and so we really want to get some assurance that it will not
create any big problems with our studio set up.  We're currently running:

PPC G5
Logic 7.2
Pro Tools 7.2
HD 192

We also have an Intel MacPro which runs Digital Performer - we use this to
host virtual instruments such as Vienna and MOTU MachFive.  The MIDI
information is sent from a MIDI track in Logic over to the MacPro using MIDI
Over LAN and the audio from DP is then routed back through the 192 to Logic.

What we are planning to do is upgrade to Pro Tools 7.4 and then install
Logic 8.  I'd just like to hear some peoples experience of running a similar
setup, we wouldn't want to install it and then realise there was a big
problem slowing our work up.

One of the main things we want to know, and which I haven't been able to
find out about for definite, is the functionality of the ESB - so we can run
TDM plug ins etc. Does this ESB still provide up to 8 outputs?
