Hi - I had this problem with Logic 8.0 . It was driving me crazy. It had something to do with Apogee/Digidesign TDM/ and logic itself. I had to do a full re-install of OSX and logic and PT's and that sorted it out.

Sorry I didnt have an easier explanation but sometimes you have to bite the bullet.
