I'm currently using Logic 8 along with my PT HD6 Accel system on a DP
2.5Ghz G5. I'd like to upgrade to an Intel machine, but I know it's
going to be a mess. Re-installing everything will be a massive
headache in itself with all the stuff I'm using. I'd like all the
Spectrasonics stuff to be ready before I move. Also, I'm not even
sure if using Logic 8 with an Intel machine running PT in an
expansion chassis is ready for prime time. Is anyone else doing it
right now?

Instead, I've been adding external slave machines for VI's, samplers,
etc. (I've got pretty much everything that VSL makes, plus all the EW
stuff farmed out to a number of machines). I might just get an Intel
machine, and put Komplete 5 on it.

Things are relatively stable for me. My biggest headache is the slow-
down bug -- at some point, changing TDM routing, instanciating plug-
ins, adding sends, etc. gets enormously slow all of a sudden. The
only sure cure is to close Logic and re-boot, and that takes a long
time. Anybody have a work-around for that, or know what causes it? I
have a suspicion it's caused by certain plug-ins. It never happens if
I'm doing a simple, straight audio session.

I'd really like to dump PT at some point in the future, to simplify
things. I've got such a fortune invested in PT hardware and software,
though, that I'd hate to do it.
