I did it last year and couldn't be any happier. The whole system is  
rock solid, not a single crash in weeks or months. Spectrasonics stuff  
is the only thing I miss, it kinda works with large buffers, but you  
can't use more than 1 instance of the plug without serious stability  
problems, so I am buying Omni as soon as it's available.

Mac Pro 2.66, 10 GB RAM, Unitor 8/AMT 8, Apogee Ensemble, MCU, 10.5.4,  
Logic 8.0.2.
