Hi - I thought i would post on this thread to say i must be either incredibly mental or incredibly lucky!! My set up is Logic 8 with protools 7.4 and I have to say that it's all pretty stable, with maybe a crash a month or less. I use a 192 with 16 ins and outs and I get all the benefits of DTDM and DAE as i have core audio switched off. All the spectrasonics stuff works fine (except this annoying thing with strange behaviour in groove mode in RMX, but that's easy to work around) and of course i get to use all the logic plugs as well as the TDM ones, like the fairchild compressor - which goes on EVERYTHING!! I don't know, maybe other people ask more of their system than me, but I can't really grumble about how stable it is. But hey, I bounce to disk to avoid messing about with my now dusty dat machine and finalizer, and do mastering on waveburner, so perhaps i'm an amateur. Can someone explain what more I would gain from switching to core audio?? Cheers Russ Pay, old time logic fanatic and part time rock star / tutor / garden centre owner!! ------------------------------------ ________________________________________________________________________ Logic TDM Users Group - new forums! http://logic-users.org/forums/L-TDM - To UNSUBSCRIBE: email [email protected] - Search the entire archive: http://logic-users.org/forums/L-TDM/searchYahoo!
