Error Code -34 returned by DAE driver

I have 2 stereo tracks armed and am bringing a mix into one of them  
with an Ultimaximizer plug on it and bussed to the other one for the  
final leveled mix.

This error message goes away after I disarm and re-enable record, and  
lasts about 4 or 5 "plays" (I'm mixing so working on small sections  
at a time)

Extremely counter productive and a pain-i-t-a

Ideas?
