I see a break in my schedule and some=20=20 extended travel trips back east (from LA) in my future, so I'm=20=20 thinking about making the leap to a laptop ONLY system, without HD at=20=20 all..and using that whether or not I'm home or away. Questions 1. What laptop computer do you advise? I assume the newest MACbook=20=20 Pro with maxed out memory. 2. What upper limit track count can I expect (Audio and midi?) 3. Is latency an issue anymore (that's why i used my HD system, but=20=20 macs are fast now) 4. Will my Waves Gold (TDM), Autotune (TDM), SSL (TDM) etc and my=20=20 Native Instruments, Nexus, trilogy, Omnisphere, RA, Colossus,=20=20 Battery, Stylus all work anlongside Logic 9 in Snow Leopard? 5. Are there good audio interfaces that would parallel the quality of=20=20 the HD rig? 6. Does the HD rig stand a chance of selling? (as a pro tools only=20=20 rig it would kick) 7. Could I use these HD cards (I have an exp chassis) work on the=20=20 Macbook Pro laptop for Logic/TDM use, or is that relationship still=20=20 precarious at best? There will be more questions I'm sure, and I appreciate any comments=20=20 or feedback thanks so much Greg =20 =20=20=20=20=20=20 =20=20=20=20 =20=20=20=20 =09 =09=20 =09 =09 =09 =09 =09 From cricket scores to your friends.
