Upgrading to 'Logic 9' from 'Logic 8 Upgrade' - will I be asked for Logic 7 serial?

jaybz has just posted in the Logic 9 forum of Logic Users Group under the title of Upgrading to 'Logic 9' from 'Logic 8 Upgrade' - will I be asked for Logic 7 serial?.

Hello.
If I'm upgrading from Logic 8 (itself an upgrade from Logic 7) to Logic 9, will I need my Logic 7 serial number? I have my Logic 8 serial number, but do not have my Logic 7 serial number after a move.
