installing jampack on 2nd hard disk

I am not understanding something. I have logic installed but I want to now 
install the jam packs on a 2nd hard drive. 

I put the Jam Pack DVD in - its says to put the main Logic disk in  - i do that, 
but when I come to the Disk choice I can only chose  my main disk - not the 2nd 
disk. if I try to choose the 2nd disk it says its won't work. However in the 
apple documention ti claims that you can install and this option is available - 
but I see no way to change it.

any ideas?
