Does "Capture Recording" work for audio?

soloquest has just posted in the Logic 9 forum of Logic Users Group under the title of Does "Capture Recording" work for audio?.

Every tutorial I've seen on the Capture Recording feature (capturing the last take as a recording while playing to a track even though the record mode wasn't activated, by evoking the set key command for the Capture Recording function.) has been a MIDI tutorial. Does this function work for audio tracks as well?

I haven't been able to get it to work at all. I've seen on this forum where many people are reporting bugs on thsi feature. Sure would be awesome if it worked!
