I'm also seeing these "lingering tones" > when I transition from verse to chorus, so maybe it's the same cause. sometimes you can find that there might be other notes hidden underneath the notes displayed - while on most instruments this would mean they would not be played as the same notes are already triggered - with the EXS theres a mode I believe which allows you to retrigger multiple notes from the same key (this would be useful sometimes). If Im right they may have originally been either misplayed or (more likely if youre using quantize) they may have originally been played at the beginning of the next bar but qunatize might have thrown them backwards meaning they are now hidden under the previous notes. If its a matter of notes hanging on (which I dont think youre saying) then it is likely to be the release time of the notes From the sound of it though - its hidden notes on that part. If this isnt the case then perhaps you have accidentally duplicated the part? (sometimes there can be one part hidden under another too - tends to happen when we duplicate something by accident instead of just moving it). If this is the case move the part and check theres nothing else underneath.
