Hi Lex, Colin, and Staircase2,

Thanks for your feedback. I disabled the Slapback Delay I had on the track
(just in case), and that was not the cause. I also moved the region around
to make sure nothing was hidden underneath, and that was fine.

The region is a 2-bar chorded sequence that I'm looping throughout the song,
and as such, I'm holding the notes right until the end of the region so that
there is continuity. Looking at the event list, I don't see any excess notes
near the end of the region.

I finally figured out what was causing it. I have Looping enabled in the
Midi Region inspector, and using the Loop-mouse tool, had extended the
region to 4 repeats. When I compress the region to no loops (back to the
original region size), I still get the 'ghost' notes.

HOWEVER, if I turn off looping in the region inspector, the ghost notes
disappear. So, something is buggy with the loop function.

To solve this, when I need silence for this track, I'm going to avoid using
Logic's looping and just do a copy of the region with looping off.

Thanks!

Mark S.
