Hi Paul,

I was going to suggest that you copy the region data for sustain to track automation, but I just tried that and it also doesn't "catch" or chase if you start playback after a sustain event. It doesn't work either with regular chase settings - which I gather you've tried. Strange, because sustain is Control 64, which should chase.

Maybe you should send this issue to Apple as a feature request/bug report:
