Unitor 8 doesn't show up in Inspector

peterlemer has just posted in the Logic 9 forum of Logic Users Group under the title of Unitor 8 doesn't show up in Inspector.

I haven't used the interface except as an input and it's worked fine, plus AudioMIDI setup pane looks as usual - but Unitor 8 3.1 no longer appears in my track inspector and I can't get it to output MIDI, even on ch 1. A quick trawl shows that it is a rosetta app. but I am still in Snow Leopard, and U8 also shows up in Activity Monitor.

In fact, I can't even get MIDI out from my RME Fireface! Is this an environment issue?

It looks as though I might have 2 separate issues here

What might be the problem, and what happens when I upgrade to Lion?
