I'm using the Sounddiver 3.1 beta on OSX and i've been trying to import the Roland JX8P
factory bank in sysex format so I can display the patch parameters, and see how some of
them are made.
I'm running on a powerbook, but at the moment I have no midi interface connected or even a
JX8P..... as I said I just want to display the patch parameters for educational purposes.
I get all the obvious error messages about a midi device not being connected, and I just skip
these, and then I have my old sounddiver setup being displayed.
I manually add a JX8P to the setup, and from the file menu I "Import" the JX8P sysex file. But
the resulting window which opens has nothing displayed. Running along the top it just says
name, model, date type, location etc with nothing else.
I guess i'm doing something really stupid, or even trying something which is not possible?
How can I display the sysex file and its pacth parameters?
