another spinoff topic. sorry folks. this applies to any MIDI sequencing of Sysex and CC messages on any computer:

a few questions to help me determine whether what ive been experiencing is due to the limitations of my ancient computer, ancient MIDI gear OR just a limitation of MIDI itself.

1. i find that if i use sounddiver faders to transmit and record realtime patch parameter (SYSEX) tweaking into logic, the synthesizer being tweaked develops serious problems keeping rhythm (in other words, the rhythm is seriously altered). has anyone here ever gotten more than a couple SYSEX parameter *sweeps* (8th note or greater resolution) in realtime without this happening? or is this to be expected with sysex?

2. how many similar realtime MIDI CC (continuous controller) sweeps can you get to play back SIMULTANOUSLY and *accurately* without them effecting MIDI note trigger timing or one anothers timing?

3. do the current softsynths use MIDI CCs when you tweak parameters or are we dealing with a better / faster type of communication that will allow glitch free performance with heavy parameter change data?

thanks
mini
