[SoundDiver] BCR2000

Just got one of these, however Icannot figure out how or if soundiver 
will respond to dial movements. I went through the manual and I end up 
with as controller named "learned". some parameter (like LFO speed), 
and a midi string. But when I turn the correspomding knob nothing 
happens in SD. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
