It's just that Sounddiver is such a crappily written application no one probably could be bothered to recode it. There are many things in UNIX which allow one app to talk to another, there are also lots of glue apps like Perl, shell scripts, TCL and so on. I do not think there is any such limitation. Microsoft makes Excel talk to Word and Powerpoint, for example (no matter what you think of MS). I put the reason as to why the OSX Autolink was never done was because plainly the Logic guys didn't care about Sounddiver and just couldn't be bothered. All it would take is an XML DTD, a parser and a script launcher to read in/out the variables - in a very general sense. If the source code was made Open Source, someone would've found a way, by now - there is always a way! The truth is, SD is a dead obsolete product that is practically abandonware, but is on life support for whatever convoluted reason the developers give this week - Just like Unitor Control, which we really can't live without if you own a Unitor or AMT-8! rachel -- Rachel Polanskis Kingswood, Greater Western Sydney, Australia grove-FsVPh/HNWEG6c6uEtOJ/[email protected] http://www.zeta.org.au/~grove/grove.html The price of greatness is responsibility. ------------------------------------ ________________________________________________________________________ SoundDiver Users Group - new forums! http://logic-users.org/forums/SD - To UNSUBSCRIBE: email sounddiver-users-unsubscribe-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@public.gmane.org - Search the entire archive: http://logic-users.org/forums/SD/searchYahoo!
