[SoundDiver] Re: sounddiver or soundquest

Joost,

I'm only speaking for myself here, but I have found Soundquest to be
one of the most useless pieces of software I have ever seen. Not only
is it a resource hog, but is often unstable and FREQUENTLY CRASHES!!
When I contacted Soundquest about the problems I was having, they said
that the Instrument Device maps I was using were "Beta" and that they
have no idea when a stable release update was planned, this was after
purchasing the software because it listed the synths I use. Come to
find out, most of the Instrument maps are "Beta" that they list on the
website…steer clear…

As for SoundDiver, I had trouble with the earlier versions, but the
final release is stable and works great. All the synths I have are now
editable, even my Korg EX-800, which I never thought I would see a
software editor for…Still a lot of user group support, and Adaptations
for newer synths coming out all the time. Very clean layout, very
logical. Once you understand the basic setupof each instrument, it
becomes an invaluable tool in the studio….

Whomever owns the rights to Sounddiver now that it's not available
anymore are sitting on a real gem, it would be great if there was a
re-release!!
