Hi there.  Thank you for responding to my post.  Ever since I have owned SD, which has been for several years now, I have always added the devices manually as it was my experience that the scan function never worked that well.  When I launch SD I receive an error message as follows: Device "Virus kb" is not responding Make sure it is switched on and correctly connected to the computer If you have changed the connections or the Device ID, click "Re-scan".  I receive this message for each of the synthesizers in my set up.
