I have managed to get SD working for some of my synths but not all. It works with my NOvation Nova, LXP-15, Waldorf Micro Q, Waldorf Pulse but does not work with the Virus KB, Yamaha CS6X, ensoniq DP2 and DP4, and my Roland JP8080.  I am not sure wy some of the devices work while others do not.  As well, it is a little unstable and quits from time to time and otherwise behaves a little erratically. What devices are you using with SD?
