This is a bit confusing. The VL says "transmitting" when you're  
trying to transmit patches *to* it? Shouldn't it say "receiving" then?

Are you trying to transmit several patches at once or only one?

Open the MIDI monitor window and have a look at what happens. If  
SoundDiver does a request and gets no reply, it tries three times by  
default (can be changed in settings/communcation).

Which SoundDiver version are you using? I think thne public beta  
wouldn't work at all with the VL1-m due to the checksum bug.

You are using a VL1-m version 2, are you? The first version is not  
compatible.
