I know this question is over a year old, but in case anybody is still 
interested: yes, SoundDiver still works on Win7 (64bit Professional in my 
case), no extra compatibility switches or WinXP virtualization is needed. 

Of course Windows moves all write accesses to win.ini and the Diver folder 
to the "compatibility" folder in your user profile since they aren't 
writable if you don't run it as an administrator (I wouldn't recommend doing 
that).  I might later create a proper compatibility profile that moves those 
folders someplace else, but unless you're working with different accounts 
but need to access the same setup from each one, it works out-of-the-box if 
you remember to put any files in the right place.  I've moved my complete 
setup from the HD of my dead XP laptop to the Win7 machine and everything is 
just where it was on the old machine.
