I must say that I find it a bit strange, that one of the two main
developers of Musicbrainz tries to trick people into using MusicBrainz
instead of freedb by sending private email-answer to a question on
this list.
I think MusicBrainz is a fine project, but I'd consider this attempt
to convince developers, who have already decided to use freedb, to use
MusicBrainz instead of freedb a bit unfair. Fact is, that freedb
currently has a lot more database entries than MusicBrainz and is used
in a lot of applications, while the number of applications supporting
MusicBrainz is rather low. The quality of the entries in MusicBrainz
might be better, because of their great editing system and the number
of duplicates in MusicBrainz is probably lower.
I don't think that freedb will be replaced by MusicBrainz anytime soon
- other prople might thing otherwise, but whether or not freedb will
be replaced is pure speculation.

What Information are you talking about? The information that freedb is
being replaced by Musicbrainz? I don't think that this is going to
happen - at least not anytime soon.
