Accessing Database with Python?

Hello!

I've just discovered this nice service. My question: Is it possible to access 
freedb with a simple python script? I'm thinking of writing a little script, 
where you can enter some words to find in the database. After the script has 
found the right entry, it should create a toc file for cdrdao automatically.
Is this possible with the freedb service? Where can a get suitable 
information?
