Hi Philipp,

Thanks for the detailed response, it was indeed very helpful. I checked with the guy who administrates that server and confirmed that it's running behind a proxy that "upgrades" the connection to HTTP/1.1 but does not add the "Connection: close" header.

Mystery solved.
