This is strange. It's relatively new (2.4.5, current is 2.4.6).

The only conflict I could think of is that with oggfwd. Which is not
really a problem as libshout now provides a 100% compatible oggfwd
itself.

Without knowing your operating system that is a bit of a problem.
Generally speaking the one on our homepage is fine. And there there (at
least) should not be any conflicts to begin with.
