It's not clear to me if you need a Windows or Mac computer to switch them to Class Compliant mode and if this setting is permanently. It reminds me of that ugly "zeroconf" stuff with wifi sticks decades ago. It seems they turned from "we don't support Linux officially" to "we don't give a shit".
