There is a normal barmeter for peak level and besides it a small one for the 
rms.
With this non embedded design, the rms meter can be visually clearly 
distinguished from the peak level.

Some other niceties of the above design:
- there are hold LEDs that must be cleared manually
- color changes in the meters are configurable (level of caution and level of 
warning)
