0.97 metering

I just tried 0.97 from cvs and have a couple of comments on the metering
changes since 0.95. I'm finding it much more difficult to work with
compared to 0.95. The two colour meter bar was very useful, as it can 
easily be seen peripherally while looking aside to adjust something else.
I also find that having two sets of meters at once is very distracting.

As a feature request, how about a button to choose
peak, rms, or both (and please bring back the two colours).

The 0.95 interface is almost perfect IMO :-)
