I have left it in for now.

I have got the meters hooked up but I am wondering the best approach for
setting the slider values so they move when either the main window or
the preset window sliders are adjusted.

Also are the scenes effectively presets and if yes should we add a few
templates to the system which can be used to populate the preset combo?

It should be possible to add new scenes to the preset combo which would
make it infinitely adjustable and provide a way to have sponsored
presets.

ex. 

"Rons Super Clean Setup"
"Steves Iron Maiden Emulator"
"Jan's Best Blues Guitar"

etc...
